About

Built by a long-distance couple, for couples like you

SharedOrbit exists because we needed it ourselves.

Our story

We're a long-distance couple. We know the time-zone math you do in your head before calling, the countdown you keep re-checking even though you know the number, and how much a two-line message at the right moment can carry an entire day.

The apps we tried never quite fit. Social apps put a public feed between two people who just wanted each other. Chat apps buried the meaningful moments under logistics. So we built the thing we wished existed: one private space that holds the countdown, the daily question, the photos, the open-when letters — everything that keeps two people feeling close when they can't be.

That's SharedOrbit. It's the app we use ourselves, every day apart.

What we believe

Private by design

A space only two people can enter, enforced at the database level — not a social network with privacy settings bolted on. No feeds, no discovery, no strangers.

Small rituals over big features

Distance isn't bridged by one grand gesture but by tiny daily ones — a question answered, a countdown watched together, a note left for a hard day. The app is shaped around those.

Honest software

No ads, no trackers, no dark patterns, no retention tricks. If you ever want to leave, deleting your account really deletes everything — that's a feature we're proud of.
